5 Great New Ways to Experience Universal Studios Orlando
Universal Studios Orlando has made some major adjustments in order to keep operating during this COVID-19 pandemic, these are some tips from RJT Travels that should help you still have ana amazing & memorable experience at Universal Studios Orlando.
#1 Universal Studios Resort App
If you haven’t already, make sure to download the Universal Studios Orlando Resort app. It will help navigate around crowds, trim wait times, and help limit physical interactions. The app comes with some great features like:
– Virtual Line experience for attractions
– Mobile food and drink ordering for select restaurants
– Interactive park map
– Virtual wallet where you can purchase and house your park tickets, Express passes, and also set up your TapuTapu for your visit to Volcano Bay
– Wait time alerts that you can set for when the times drop
#2 Using Mobile Ordering
Mobile Ordering is a great way to avoid those lines and get your food much faster. Instead of having to pick a place and stand in line and then order and then wait for the order and then find a place to sit, mobile ordering helps you skip all that.
Now you can select your place to eat and order your food while you walk to the restaurant. Once you arrive you can either pick it up and go, or you can just find a place to sit and have the food brought out to you. This helps speed up the process, avoid those people in line, and get back out to enjoy the park. You can access this feature from the Universal Studios Resort App.
#3 Using a U-Rest Area
While running around all day in the Orlando heat, this is a great spot to stop and cool down in. The U-Rest spot is an area where you can sit and have a beverage and a snack and remove your mask. Slimier to a restaurant, you may sit without a mask on and cool down. You can find a U-Rest location in one of the following places:
Universal CityWalk
Down by the waterfront in front of Hard Rock
Universal Studios Florida
Fear Factor Live Theater
Central Park by the lagoon
Universal’s Islands of Adventure
Port of Entry Landing by the waterfront
The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad Stunt Show Theater in Lost Continent (the show is no longer available)
#4 Stay on Property for Early Admission
One of the many perks you can enjoy when staying at a Universal Studios Orlando Resort Hotel is early admission to both of the parks. When you get into the park early there is even less people in the park, giving you the opportunity to avoid the crowds and enjoy the park.
Another enjoyable perk is you do not have to go through the health check at CityWalk. Since you will be checked at your Resort Hotel, you receive a wrist band that says your good to go, so you don’t have to go through the CityWalk health check again.
#5 Additional Things to Bring to the Park
Whenever going to the park you always have those must bring items, things that you would need to enjoy the day. Now given the current situation of things, there is a few more things RJT Travels recommends to add to that must-bring list.
- Face Coverings – Remember that this is something that is required by Universal Studios, and remember that you are in Orlando, Florida so you would want something breathable, something light, and can absorb sweat. We also recommend bringing more than 1, in case one gets too sweaty or wet.
- Water Bottle – With wearing a face mask you will sweat more and you will be in the Florida heat so make sure to stay hydrated. Having something cold to drink can really help. RJT Travels recommends using a 25 oz Super Sparrow Water Bottle, they keep your water cold for hours, but small enough it’s not heavy to carry and fits in most bags.
