About the resort

Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is one of the newest and most unique resorts in the Sandals chain, bringing the brand's signature adults-only, all-inclusive luxury to Saint Vincent for the very first time. Located in beautiful Buccament Bay, the resort is tucked into a lush valley surrounded by volcanic mountains, rainforest scenery, and the dramatic natural beauty the island is known for, including nearby crater landscapes like La Soufriere. As the first all-inclusive resort on the island, Sandals Saint Vincent offers a slower, calmer, and more relaxed Sandals experience, making it a great fit for couples who want natural beauty, peaceful surroundings, and a true escape from the busier resort feel. Guests can enjoy 12 restaurants, 9 bars, stunning pools, beachfront relaxation, included water sports, and the elevated service Sandals is famous for.

Resort Review

What I thought

This was my first Sandals resort, so I did not have another Sandals property to compare it to at the time, but I can say that Sandals Saint Vincent was calm, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing. There was music playing and still a fun atmosphere around the resort, but it was never rowdy, loud, or overly high-energy.

I will be honest and say the car ride to the resort was rough. It is a long drive on some not-so-great roads, and while you do get to see more of the island along the way, it was not my favorite part of the trip. On the way back, I was able to take the boat transfer, which is exclusive to Butler room guests at this resort, and I would honestly say that alone is worth upgrading for. The boat transfer was amazing, so much smoother, and something I would highly recommend.

The food at this resort was also incredible. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had something new every day, and the Jerk Shack had amazing jerk chicken along with some local-style items I had never tried before. Then came dinner, and honestly, dinner was one of the best parts of the entire resort. The Italian restaurant was delicious, Buccan was a true experience, but Butch's was easily my favorite.

Beyond the food, the water sports were great too. I even got to do a glass-bottom boat ride where we saw shipwrecks and areas where parts of Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed.

The views at this resort are absolutely breathtaking. It is the kind of place that makes you stop, look around, and really take it all in. The resort even had bikes you could use to ride around the property, which added to the peaceful, secluded feel. Being tucked away in the crater area helps keep the resort quiet, calm, and undisturbed from the rest of the island.

Overall, Sandals Saint Vincent was an amazing resort, and I completely understand why it has become so popular. At this point, it is my favorite Sandals resort.

Best Thing

The food options

The dining was my favorite part of the resort, including the breakfast buffet, the Jerk Shack, Buccan, the Italian restaurant, and my favorite restaurant from the trip, Butch's Steakhouse.

Worst Thing

The airport commute

The long car ride from the airport on uneasy roads was my least favorite part. The butler boat transfer benefit was so much better and made the arrival experience feel much smoother.
